01 · Challenge

The old platform couldn't keep up with
growth_

Dynamic international growth required an efficient, scalable, and fully integrated e-commerce system. The previous solution was holding the business back on seven different fronts.

Business context: Born Donor Bank is rapidly expanding its operations in international markets. The existing e-commerce system couldn't keep up with the growing needs of the business and the brand's new direction — causing delays, operational errors, and the risk of purchase conflicts.

What hurt the most

Poor search performance

The most important feature — donor search — was slow, frustrating customers at the decisive stage of the purchase.

No full CRM integration

Dynamics CRM contained complete data on donors, customers, and orders, but it wasn't connected to the webshop.

Manual data management

Availability and prices were updated manually — which caused errors, increased operating costs, and delayed changes.

Risk of purchase conflicts

The same resource could be sold to several customers at once — which is unacceptable in this industry.

No customer history

The webshop had no access to the customer's full history, which made it impossible to personalize the shopping experience.

Outdated interface

The UI didn't match the branding and fell short of modern users' expectations.

High cost of changes

Every modification to the existing solution was time-consuming and expensive — which blocked product development.

02 · Solution

Microservices + SPA + CRM as the single source of truth_

Veloce designed and implemented a modern e-commerce platform based on a microservices architecture with a high-performance SPA frontend. The system was fully integrated with Dynamics CRM, which serves as the central source of data. The solution is optimized for performance and user experience.

Key features

Advanced, fast donor search

Intelligent indexing and caching deliver instant results even with a large catalog.

Full Dynamics CRM integration

Donor, customer, and order data is always up to date — no manual synchronization.

Real-time up-to-date data

Availability and prices are synchronized on the fly. The customer always sees the current status.

System preventing purchase conflicts

A reservation mechanism makes it impossible to sell the same resource to two customers.

Frisbii payments + Reepay invoices

The entire financial funnel — payments and invoicing — is fully automated.

Intelligent cache system

Multi-level caching offloads the database and speeds up critical paths.

Modern, responsive interface

UI consistent with Born's branding and the Medicover group's guidelines. Mobile-first.

08 · Benefits

Four reasons why Born chose Veloce_

Four differentiators that are proven project after project — from Medicover through mBank to TUI and Oney.

Speed

The name Veloce (Italian for "fast") is a promise, not a decoration. Born launched in 7 months — from analysis, design, and code to deployment. Clients such as Oney implemented complete systems with us in 12 months.

Long-term commitment

We stay with our clients. Medicover — 15+ years. Oney — 10+ years. 3 out of 4 clients continue working with us after the first project. We are a software house that doesn't disappear after deployment.

Comprehensiveness

From business analysis through software production to deployment and further development. One partner for the entire system lifecycle — without shifting responsibility between vendors.

Proven technology

Microsoft .NET + modern frontend (Vue.js) + cloud-native (Docker, Kubernetes, Kafka). A stack understood and accepted by large corporations and IT departments in regulated industries.
